Forex traders are eyeing some important data out later on Thursday following the release of minutes from the Federal Reserve’s latest policy meeting yesterday.
The Philly Fed manufacturing index will be among the most closely watched bits of data, with recent reports showing some pretty lacklustre factory activity in the US.
Unemployment figures are also to be followed as traders look ahead to the upcoming Fed meeting in December.
Atlanta Fed president Dennis Lockhart and Fed governor Stanley Fischer are both due to speak later, with investors keen to hear any more concrete views on whether the bank will raise rates next month.
Looking ahead to Friday, forex traders will want to look for a speech by European Central Bank president Mario Draghi.
Finally, a slew of inflation and retail sales figures from Canada will be worth watching for loonie trades.
