With operations in 50 countries across nearly every continent, Associated British Foods PLC is a diversified international food, ingredients and retail company.  Five business segments comprise the company's core: grocery products, agriculture, retail, sugar, and ingredients.  The grocery line holds recognised brands including Twinnings Tea, Ovaltine, Mazola corn oil, Silver Spoon sugar, Don & KRC pork products as well as private label products. The company operates in Primark retail stores across Europe and the United States.

Formed in 1935 as Food Investments Limited, the company changed its name to Allied Bakeries Limited and became Associated British Foods in 1960.

The growth outside of general organic increases have been largely through the acquisition of other entities.  Over the years, the company has divested from other brands it once owned including Fine Fare, Quinnsworth, Baker's Oven, as well as others.
