EasyJet PLC is a low-cost passenger airline based in the United Kingdom. Headquartered at the London Luton Airport, the company provides its passengers with affordable short-haul, point-to-point flights across Europe.

EasyJet PLC was established in 1995 by Greek Cypriot businessman Stelios Haji-Ioannou with two wet-leased Boeing 737-200 aircraft, initially operating only two routes, namely London Luton Airport to Glasgow and Edinburgh. The company has since grown to become one of Europe’s leading airlines, operating a modern Airbus fleet of over 200 aircraft on more than 800 routes across more than 30 countries. EasyJet PLC employs over 10,000 people across Europe.

EasyJet PLC shares are traded on the London Stock Exchange (LSE). The company is also a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index, consisting of the 100 companies on the LSE with the highest market capitalisation.
