
Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Retail, Media and Software sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 1.16%, while the MDAX index added 2.66%, and the TecDAX index gained 2.43%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn), which rose 5.61% or 1.18 points to trade at 22.21 at the close. Meanwhile, Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) added 5.40% or 2.27 points to end at 44.28 and Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) was up 4.20% or 0.82 points to 20.23 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Puma SE (ETR:PUMG), which fell 5.72% or 2.91 points to trade at 47.97 at the close. Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) declined 4.14% or 5.14 points to end at 118.88 and Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p) was down 3.84% or 2.32 points to 58.16.
The top performers on the MDAX were Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which rose 5.52% to 8.21, Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which was up 5.27% to settle at 37.94 and Stroeer SE (ETR:SAXG) which gained 4.99% to close at 38.72.
The worst performers were Rheinmetall AG (ETR:RHMG) which was down 2.41% to 158.20 in late trade, Sixt SE (ETR:SIXG) which lost 0.49% to settle at 82.05 and Varta AG (ETR:VAR1) which was up 0.41% to 29.35 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Suse SA (ETR:SUSEG) which rose 8.82% to 15.18, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was up 5.70% to settle at 90.90 and Siemens Healthineers AG (ETR:SHLG) which gained 5.40% to close at 44.28.
The worst performers were Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which was down 5.03% to 20.56 in late trade, Deutsche Telekom AG Na (ETR:DTEGn) which lost 0.83% to settle at 17.49 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which was down 0.48% to 20.55 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 475 to 211 and 69 ended unchanged.
Shares in Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.72% or 2.91 to 47.97. Shares in Adidas AG (ETR:ADSGN) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.14% or 5.14 to 118.88. Shares in Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:PSHG_p) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.84% or 2.32 to 58.16. Shares in Sixt SE (ETR:SIXG) fell to 52-week lows; falling 0.49% or 0.40 to 82.05.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 6.41% to 30.67.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.30% or 5.05 to $1,673.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.59% or 1.29 to hit $79.94 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.85% or 1.61 to trade at $85.57 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.24% to 0.98, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 112.21.
