
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 1.94% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SBF 120 index gained 1.85%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP), which rose 6.67% or 8.28 points to trade at 132.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) added 4.85% or 1.70 points to end at 36.67 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) was up 4.84% or 62.50 points to 1,354.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which fell 2.88% or 1.30 points to trade at 43.77 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 1.57% or 0.37 points to end at 22.84 and Orange SA (EPA:ORAN) was down 0.92% or 0.09 points to 9.40.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:IPAR) which rose 11.36% to 49.00, Antin Infrastructure Partners SASU (EPA:ANTIN) which was up 7.20% to settle at 22.62 and Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP) which gained 6.67% to close at 132.50.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 10.67% to 9.09 in late trade, Compagnie Plastic Omnium SE (EPA:PLOF) which lost 8.39% to settle at 13.64 and Mcphy Energy (EPA:MCPHY) which was down 7.14% to 11.89 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 312 to 225 and 95 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 3.10 to $1,657.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.86% or 0.73 to hit $85.31 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.69% or 0.63 to trade at $91.84 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.81% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP fell 0.86% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.90% at 110.90.
