
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.49% to hit a new 6-months high, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.45%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 10.01% or 20.30 points to trade at 223.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:VIE) added 3.64% or 0.87 points to end at 24.80 and Thales (EPA:TCFP) was up 3.06% or 3.45 points to 116.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO), which fell 2.25% or 0.55 points to trade at 23.88 at the close. Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) declined 1.99% or 3.75 points to end at 184.50 and Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) was down 1.46% or 0.67 points to 45.26.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which rose 10.01% to 223.00, Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which was up 5.59% to settle at 82.20 and Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:VIE) which gained 3.64% to close at 24.80.
The worst performers were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which was down 5.64% to 9.12 in late trade, Arkema SA (EPA:AKE) which lost 3.60% to settle at 88.32 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was down 3.31% to 2.10 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 268 to 267 and 105 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 1.15 to $1,775.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.41% or 1.21 to hit $87.08 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.10% or 1.02 to trade at $94.16 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.58% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.36% at 106.14.
