
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.35% to hit a new 6-months high, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.34%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which rose 4.39% or 2.44 points to trade at 58.07 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) added 2.45% or 0.61 points to end at 25.50 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) was up 1.70% or 1.06 points to 63.38 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 3.25% or 7.20 points to trade at 214.50 at the close. Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) declined 1.22% or 6.70 points to end at 542.90 and L’Oreal SA (EPA:OREP) was down 1.01% or 3.50 points to 344.75.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which rose 9.58% to 10.93, Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was up 5.99% to settle at 10.79 and Inter Parfums Inc. (EPA:IPAR) which gained 4.93% to close at 53.20.
The worst performers were Ovh Groupe SAS (EPA:OVH) which was down 4.07% to 14.24 in late trade, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which lost 3.25% to settle at 214.50 and Amundi SA (EPA:AMUN) which was down 3.13% to 52.60 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 270 to 246 and 88 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.03% or 0.60 to $1,740.20 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.21% or 1.77 to hit $81.81 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 2.06% or 1.80 to trade at $89.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.53% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.06% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.54% at 107.14.
