
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil&Gas, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 1.42%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 1.41%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which rose 3.74% or 1.90 points to trade at 52.70 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STM) added 3.42% or 1.25 points to end at 37.75 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was up 3.26% or 1.15 points to 36.57 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Thales (EPA:TCFP), which fell 2.76% or 3.35 points to trade at 118.15 at the close. Renault SA (EPA:RENA) declined 1.10% or 0.38 points to end at 33.66 and Engie SA (EPA:ENGIE) was down 0.29% or 0.04 points to 14.35.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which rose 11.56% to 3.45, Antin Infrastructure Partners SASU (EPA:ANTIN) which was up 7.67% to settle at 23.58 and Derichebourg (EPA:DBG) which gained 6.62% to close at 5.79.
The worst performers were Thales (EPA:TCFP) which was down 2.76% to 118.15 in late trade, Aeroports de Paris SA (EPA:ADP) which lost 1.97% to settle at 132.05 and Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which was down 1.95% to 13.85 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 346 to 192 and 87 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.56% or 28.00 to $1,820.30 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.03% or 2.22 to hit $75.39 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 3.30% or 2.57 to trade at $80.56 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.76% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.03% at 103.69.
