Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.11%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Food&Beverages, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Insurance and Consumer&Cyclical sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.11%, while the MDAX index added 0.18%, and the TecDAX index climbed 0.16%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:MTXGn), which rose 2.49% or 5.70 points to trade at 234.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) added 1.54% or 1.94 points to end at 128.10 and Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) was up 1.23% or 0.37 points to 30.46 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Commerzbank AG O.N. (ETR:CBKG), which fell 3.47% or 0.36 points to trade at 10.00 at the close. Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) declined 2.64% or 8.80 points to end at 324.70 and Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn) was down 2.58% or 4.75 points to 179.60.

The top performers on the MDAX were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which rose 4.96% to 16.07, Rational AG (ETR:RAAG) which was up 2.90% to settle at 657.50 and Knorr-Bremse AG (ETR:KBX) which gained 2.45% to close at 61.94.

The worst performers were HelloFresh SE (ETR:HFGG) which was down 3.88% to 23.52 in late trade, CTS Eventim AG (ETR:EVDG) which lost 3.02% to settle at 56.15 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:JENGn) which was down 2.90% to 28.78 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which rose 6.60% to 106.60, TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was up 4.96% to settle at 16.07 and Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) which gained 2.27% to close at 36.98.

The worst performers were Jenoptik AG (ETR:JENGn) which was down 2.90% to 28.78 in late trade, Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which lost 2.08% to settle at 28.65 and ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 1.70% to 9.34 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 378 to 288 and 83 ended unchanged.

Shares in TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.96% or 0.76 to 16.07. Shares in TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) rose to 52-week highs; up 4.96% or 0.76 to 16.07. Shares in Hensoldt Ag (ETR:HAGG) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.27% or 0.82 to 36.98. Shares in ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) fell to all time lows; down 1.70% or 0.16 to 9.34.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 4.21% to 17.33.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.40% or 8.05 to $2,007.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 2.10% or 1.73 to hit $80.70 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 1.99% or 1.72 to trade at $84.59 a barrel.

EUR/USD was down 0.71% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.88.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 101.84.
