Israel stocks higher at close of trade; TA 35 up 0.44%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 gained 0.44% to hit a new 1-month high.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT), which rose 4.03% or 2,710.00 points to trade at 69,990.00 at the close. Meanwhile, OPC Energy Ltd (TASE:OPCE) added 3.01% or 78.00 points to end at 2,670.00 and Strauss Group (TASE:STRS) was up 2.27% or 179.00 points to 8,059.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Delek Group (TASE:DLEKG), which fell 3.76% or 1,540.00 points to trade at 39,460.00 at the close. Energean Oil&Gas PLC (TASE:ENOG) declined 2.95% or 174.00 points to end at 5,726.00 and Leumi (TASE:LUMI) was down 2.62% or 75.00 points to 2,787.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 252 to 214 and 35 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 4.80% or 3.63 to $72.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in July fell 4.59% or 3.64 to hit $75.67 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 1.70% or 33.95 to trade at $2,026.15 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was up 0.68% to 3.64, while EUR/ILS rose 0.89% to 4.01.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 101.71.
