
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.45%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.42%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 2.98% or 4.60 points to trade at 158.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) added 2.34% or 0.56 points to end at 24.47 and BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) was up 1.99% or 1.14 points to 58.49 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW), which fell 1.53% or 0.69 points to trade at 44.54 at the close. Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) declined 0.99% or 0.60 points to end at 60.00 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) was down 0.67% or 13.40 points to 1,975.40.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) which rose 9.43% to 25.75, Ovh Groupe SAS (EPA:OVH) which was up 8.30% to settle at 10.50 and Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which gained 6.37% to close at 3.61.
The worst performers were Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT) which was down 4.69% to 127.10 in late trade, JC Decaux SA (EPA:JCDX) which lost 3.79% to settle at 18.30 and Accor SA (EPA:ACCP) which was down 3.01% to 31.26 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 270 to 269 and 90 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.08% or 1.70 to $2,018.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.07% or 0.76 to hit $70.11 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 1.01% or 0.76 to trade at $74.22 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.57% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.10% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.63% at 102.51.
