
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Gas&Water, General Financial and Foods&Drugs sectors led shares higher while losses in the Basic Materials, Technology and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.31%, while the SBF 120 index lost 1.52%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST), which rose 7.98% or 2.79 points to trade at 37.77 at the close. Meanwhile, Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) added 2.80% or 48.40 points to end at 1,776.40 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) was up 2.10% or 2.08 points to 101.02 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which fell 59.24% or 13.68 points to trade at 9.42 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) declined 5.02% or 5.75 points to end at 108.70 and Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) was down 3.29% or 13.40 points to 394.05.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) which rose 7.98% to 37.77, Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was up 4.04% to settle at 5.20 and Hermes International SCA (EPA:HRMS) which gained 2.80% to close at 1,776.40.
The worst performers were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which was down 59.24% to 9.42 in late trade, Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which lost 20.30% to settle at 4.19 and Nexity (EPA:NEXI) which was down 14.26% to 11.36 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 380 to 155 and 82 ended unchanged.
Shares in Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) fell to all time lows; losing 59.24% or 13.68 to 9.42. Shares in Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) fell to 5-year lows; down 5.02% or 5.75 to 108.70. Shares in Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) fell to 3-years lows; falling 3.29% or 13.40 to 394.05. Shares in Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) fell to all time lows; falling 59.24% or 13.68 to 9.42. Shares in Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) fell to all time lows; down 20.30% or 1.07 to 4.19. Shares in Nexity (EPA:NEXI) fell to 5-year lows; down 14.26% or 1.89 to 11.36.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.19% or 3.85 to $1,989.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.24% or 1.04 to hit $84.78 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 1.50% or 1.32 to trade at $89.39 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 106.18.
