
Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Food&Beverages and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.78% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index gained 0.59%, and the TecDAX index added 0.96%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p), which rose 3.63% or 10.70 points to trade at 305.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) added 2.81% or 0.61 points to end at 22.28 and Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) was up 2.49% or 3.44 points to 141.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which fell 2.19% or 0.26 points to trade at 11.37 at the close. Merck KGaA (ETR:MRCG) declined 1.70% or 2.45 points to end at 142.00 and Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) was down 1.30% or 0.35 points to 26.52.
The top performers on the MDAX were Hugo Boss AG NA O.N. (ETR:BOSSn) which rose 3.98% to 66.92, Rational AG (ETR:RAAG) which was up 3.36% to settle at 631.50 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which gained 3.17% to close at 13.52.
The worst performers were United Internet AG NA (ETR:UTDI) which was down 3.94% to 19.52 in late trade, Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which lost 3.08% to settle at 12.28 and Stroeer SE (ETR:SAXG) which was down 1.21% to 53.25 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Verbio Vereinigte Bioenergie AG (ETR:VBKG) which rose 5.31% to 29.54, Sartorius AG VZO O.N. (ETR:SATG_p) which was up 3.63% to settle at 305.80 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which gained 3.17% to close at 13.52.
The worst performers were United Internet AG NA (ETR:UTDI) which was down 3.94% to 19.52 in late trade, ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which lost 1.15% to settle at 5.65 and Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:MORG) which was down 0.72% to 24.79 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 419 to 213 and 26 ended unchanged.
Shares in Airbus Group SE (ETR:AIRG) rose to all time highs; gaining 2.49% or 3.44 to 141.84.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 2.42% to 13.73.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 1.58% or 32.25 to $2,014.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.47% or 1.71 to hit $71.05 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 2.26% or 1.67 to trade at $75.72 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.46% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.59% at 104.11.
