
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Gas&Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher while losses in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.56%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO), which rose 4.56% or 0.50 points to trade at 11.47 at the close. Meanwhile, STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) added 2.57% or 1.04 points to end at 41.56 and Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) was up 2.51% or 4.95 points to 202.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP), which fell 0.95% or 1.35 points to trade at 140.80 at the close. TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) declined 0.91% or 0.53 points to end at 57.75 and L’Oreal SA (EPA:OREP) was down 0.34% or 1.45 points to 424.75.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which rose 10.59% to 3.77, Lectra SA (EPA:LECS) which was up 7.46% to settle at 32.40 and Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which gained 6.36% to close at 6.19.
The worst performers were Fnac Darty SA (EPA:FNAC) which was down 6.26% to 23.94 in late trade, JC Decaux SA (EPA:JCDX) which lost 5.40% to settle at 17.18 and Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which was down 3.42% to 13.26 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 304 to 215 and 93 ended unchanged.
Shares in Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) fell to 3-years lows; down 0.95% or 1.35 to 140.80. Shares in Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) rose to 52-week highs; rising 2.51% or 4.95 to 202.00.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.24% or 4.85 to $2,024.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.12% or 1.55 to hit $74.80 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.77% or 1.39 to trade at $79.95 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.27% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 103.03.
