Israel stocks lower at close of trade; TA 35 down 0.54%

Investing.com – Israel stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Insurance, Real Estate and Financials sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 35 lost 0.54%.

The best performers of the session on the TA 35 were Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA), which rose 4.50% or 192.00 points to trade at 4,461.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) added 1.55% or 450.00 points to end at 29,480.00 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TASE:ICL) was up 0.71% or 12.00 points to 1,710.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Azrieli Group Ltd (TASE:AZRG), which fell 3.72% or 920.00 points to trade at 23,780.00 at the close. Elbit Systems Ltd (TASE:ESLT) declined 3.25% or 2,560.00 points to end at 76,110.00 and Newmed Energy LP (TASE:NWMDp) was down 3.11% or 30.00 points to 933.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 288 to 160 and 89 ended unchanged.

Shares in Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (TASE:TEVA) rose to 3-years highs; gaining 4.50% or 192.00 to 4,461.00. Shares in Camtek Ltd (TASE:CAMT) rose to all time highs; up 1.55% or 450.00 to 29,480.00.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.24% or 0.18 to $74.58 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 0.37% or 0.30 to hit $79.76 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.24% or 4.95 to trade at $2,027.15 a troy ounce.

USD/ILS was unchanged 0.13% to 3.76, while EUR/ILS fell 0.54% to 4.07.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.38% at 103.51.
