Germany stocks mixed at close of trade; DAX down 0.00%

Investing.com – Germany stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Chemicals and Food&Beverages sectors led shares higher while losses in the Construction, Insurance and Transportation&Logistics sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX declined 0.00% to hit a new all time high, while the MDAX index climbed 1.15%, and the TecDAX index climbed 1.21%.

The best performers of the session on the DAX were Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe), which rose 18.00% or 6.80 points to trade at 44.58 at the close. Meanwhile, Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) added 3.60% or 0.93 points to end at 26.73 and Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:IFXGn) was up 2.69% or 0.89 points to 33.99 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Volkswagen AG VZO O.N. (ETR:VOWG_p), which fell 4.93% or 6.18 points to trade at 119.16 at the close. MTU Aero Engines NA O.N. (ETR:MTXGn) declined 1.39% or 3.10 points to end at 219.20 and Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) was down 1.30% or 5.60 points to 424.80.

The top performers on the MDAX were Jungheinrich AG O.N.VZO (ETR:JUNG_p) which rose 8.25% to 31.24, Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which was up 7.93% to settle at 11.36 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which gained 6.90% to close at 58.85.

The worst performers were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which was down 7.04% to 130.00 in late trade, Fraport AG (ETR:FRAG) which lost 1.60% to settle at 50.58 and Puma SE (ETR:PUMG) which was down 1.46% to 41.85 at the close.

The top performers on the TecDAX were Nordex SE O.N. (ETR:NDXG) which rose 7.93% to 11.36, SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:S92G) which was up 6.90% to settle at 58.85 and Aixtron SE (ETR:AIXGn) which gained 6.07% to close at 27.24.

The worst performers were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which was down 5.08% to 5.19 in late trade, Cancom SE O.N. (ETR:COKG) which lost 1.47% to settle at 26.90 and CompuGroup Medical AG O.N. (ETR:COP1n) which was down 1.09% to 29.04 at the close.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 408 to 226 and 36 ended unchanged.

Shares in Daimler Truck Holding AG (ETR:DTGGe) rose to all time highs; up 18.00% or 6.80 to 44.58.

The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was up 0.31% to 12.92.

Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.81% or 37.25 to $2,091.95 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 3.08% or 2.41 to hit $80.67 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 2.76% or 2.26 to trade at $84.17 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.86.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 103.88.
