
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Utilities, Oil&Gas and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.49%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.74%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 4.98% or 4.72 points to trade at 99.58 at the close. Meanwhile, AXA SA (EPA:AXAF) added 2.48% or 0.78 points to end at 32.21 and Accor SA (EPA:ACCP) was up 1.63% or 0.67 points to 41.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI), which fell 1.06% or 0.60 points to trade at 56.08 at the close. Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) declined 1.02% or 0.25 points to end at 24.21 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) was down 0.54% or 0.11 points to 20.24.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which rose 9.36% to 2.57, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was up 4.98% to settle at 99.58 and Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which gained 4.88% to close at 13.98.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 4.42% to 2.08 in late trade, Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which lost 3.83% to settle at 3.72 and Fnac Darty SA (EPA:FNAC) which was down 3.77% to 31.95 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 331 to 183 and 103 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.14% or 26.25 to $2,334.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.64% or 0.50 to hit $78.61 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.55% or 0.46 to trade at $83.42 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.04% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.90.
