15th August 2011
Markets are very flat at the start of trading this morning. The equity sell off last week has somewhat taken the air out of most investors sails .
The Friday session which some commentators thought would be extremly volatile ended relatively flat as investors looked to keep risk of the table. The large consensus is to wait and see what happens in regards to the banking system issue in Europe and the knock on effect if may have to US equities.
This week along with most of August is generally very week in terms of trading volume and that's how very large price movements can happen in a short space of time. A lot of holidays have been cancelled due to the recent volatility lets hope that we get some sunshine on the markets this week.
