How do I login to the MT4 Mobile App?

Ensure you have a stable internet connection; either 3G or Wi-Fi is recommended. Launch the MT4 Mobile Application. If this is the first time you have used the application select “Login with Existing Account” from within the search box type “OneF” selecting the relevant trade server. Enter your login credentials and click ‘Submit’. If you have forgotten your credentials please refer back to the welcome email you were sent.

How do I add a new symbol to the MT4 Mobile App?

To add a symbol to your Quotes screen:

  • Select the “plus (+)” icon from the ‘Quotes’ screen in the top right-hand corner
  • Symbols are grouped into Security Types to help you navigate easily and find your most commonly traded products. Navigate through and select the “Plus” icon next to the symbol to add it to your quotes screen
  • Alternatively, if you know the name of the symbol enter this in the search box provided at the top of the screen.    

How do I place a trade on the MT4 Mobile App?

To open a trade on the MT4 Mobile Application:

  • Select the symbol you wish to trade from the ‘Quotes’ screen in the top right-hand corner
  • Select ‘Trade’
  • Type in the Volume and select the Execution type you require and then select ‘Next’
  • At this stage you can enter a Stop Loss (SL) and/or Take Profit (TP) along with a deviation if required. Please note that these are optional settings at this stage.
  • Select ‘Sell’ or ‘Buy’

How do I view open positions on the MT4 Mobile App?

Open Positions can be viewed by selecting the ‘Trade’ tab from the menu. 

How do I modify positions on the MT4 Mobile App?

Modifying positions enables you to place Stop Losses and/or Take Profits helping you to minimize your losses and claim your profits.
To modify an open position:

  • Select the ‘Trade’ screen from the main menu to view all your open positions
  • Select and hold the position you wish to amend
  • Tap ‘Modify Order’ and enter your Stop Loss and/or Take Profit
  • Finally, click on ‘Back’, ‘Modify’ and ‘Done’

How do I close a position on the MT4 Mobile App?

To close a position:

  • Select the ‘Trade’ screen from the main menu
  • Select and hold the position you wish to close and select the ‘Close’ button
  • Confirm the price by selecting “Close at… ”
  • Select ‘Done’

Why can’t I login to the MT4 Mobile App?

The most common cause of this problem is poor or unstable internet connectivity.

Make sure you have a reliable and stable internet connection, be sure that you are entering your login and password correctly and that you have selected the correct server.

If you are still experiencing issues logging in please contact info@ofmarkets.com and someone will reset your password. Please make sure the email comes from your registered email address and provide your account number and current password.

Why aren’t my prices updating on the MT4 Mobile App?

In the first instance we recommend you check that you are connected. To do this, navigate to the settings page from the main menu. Alternatively, close the application, reboot your device and log back in. How do I display a chart on the MT4 Mobile App?

To view a chart from within the MT4 Mobile Application:

  • Select the ‘Quotes’ screen from the main menu
  • Choose your desired symbol  by tapping on it
  • Select the ‘Chart’ button; you will then be taken to the charting pages. From here you can add indicators and change the view of your chart.

How do I view high and low prices for a symbol on the MT4 Mobile App?

To display high and low details from the quotes screen select “Advanced” mode. The advanced mode option is displayed at the top of the screen.

What does the error “Connection closed due to invalid server name” mean?

You have received this error message because you have chosen an incorrect server to authenticate with. Please remember to authenticate with either ‘OneF-Demo’ or ‘OneF-Real’.
