14th October 2011
Markets had a small retracement yesterday after less than encouraging earnings reports from J P Morgan even though they increased earnings per share from $0.92c to $1.02.
This is a very important quarter for earnings and in light of slow economic growth investors are rather apprehensive about what company results will be. We have BOA , Coca Cola, Johnson & Johnson and General Electric all reporting on the 18th and with no reporting today equities markets looked poised to remain flat going into the weekend.
The markets are in relative limbo at the moment and any negative news could be catastrophic.
