Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.22%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Software&Computer Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 0.22%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 1.67% or 220.00 points to trade at 13,355.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 1.17% or 1.35 points to end at 116.20 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 1.16% or 150.00 points to 13,070.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 2.33% or 9.20 points to trade at 385.60 at the close. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) declined 2.01% or 3.65 points to end at 178.00 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 1.95% or 10.40 points to 523.40.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 93 to 57 and 16 ended unchanged.

Shares in Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) rose to 52-week highs; rising 1.17% or 1.35 to 116.20.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.36% or 0.26 to $72.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.17% or 0.13 to hit $78.28 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.55% or 11.35 to trade at $2,040.25 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.57% to 6.85, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.75% at 102.92.
