Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.23%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Chemicals, Consumer Goods and Personal&Household Goods sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.23% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 2.47% or 300.00 points to trade at 12,445.00 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) added 2.10% or 250.00 points to end at 12,160.00 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was up 1.71% or 11.00 points to 655.40 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV), which fell 2.96% or 40.50 points to trade at 1,326.50 at the close. Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) declined 2.04% or 5.00 points to end at 240.20 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 1.94% or 9.50 points to 480.20.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 98 to 58 and 11 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was up 0.91% or 0.68 to $75.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.80% or 0.63 to hit $79.23 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.07% or 1.40 to trade at $1,996.30 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.40% to 6.86, while EUR/DKK rose 0.09% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 102.08.
