Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 0.92%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil&Gas, Consumer Goods and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 0.92%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 3.85% or 7.02 points to trade at 189.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) added 2.49% or 20.60 points to end at 848.00 and Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) was up 2.43% or 13.00 points to 547.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV), which fell 2.18% or 23.00 points to trade at 1,030.50 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 0.93% or 100.00 points to end at 10,610.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 0.64% or 70.00 points to 10,800.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 73 to 71 and 22 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for January delivery was down 3.38% or 2.63 to $75.23 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February fell 3.28% or 2.72 to hit $80.16 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 7.60 to trade at $2,039.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.56% to 6.83, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.54% at 103.23.
