Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 1.18%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.18%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 3.09% or 365.00 points to trade at 12,185.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 2.15% or 14.30 points to end at 678.10 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) was up 2.05% or 240.00 points to 11,970.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 3.62% or 13.60 points to trade at 362.00 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) declined 2.70% or 13.10 points to end at 472.10 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was down 2.22% or 2.27 points to 99.90.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 96 to 57 and 15 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.63% or 1.89 to $73.67 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.66% or 2.04 to hit $78.59 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.09% or 1.85 to trade at $2,037.55 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.22% to 6.83, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 102.17.
