Denmark stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.82%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.82%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which rose 4.51% or 87.00 points to trade at 2,017.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 3.81% or 31.20 points to end at 850.90 and Pandora A/S (CSE:PNDORA) was up 3.05% or 34.00 points to 1,147.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which fell 2.52% or 24.20 points to trade at 936.80 at the close. Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) declined 1.45% or 32.00 points to end at 2,173.00 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) was down 1.27% or 124.00 points to 9,622.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 76 to 71 and 13 ended unchanged.

Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) fell to 3-years lows; falling 1.27% or 124.00 to 9,622.00.

Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.21% or 2.51 to $80.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 2.82% or 2.31 to hit $84.22 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.37% or 28.25 to trade at $2,082.95 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.17% to 6.89, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 103.95.
