Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.31%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil&Gas and Personal&Household Goods sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.31%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG), which rose 5.79% or 8.65 points to trade at 158.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) added 3.59% or 3.53 points to end at 101.80 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was up 1.32% or 12.40 points to 949.20 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which fell 2.97% or 5.74 points to trade at 187.30 at the close. Bavarian Nordic (CSE:BAVA) declined 2.74% or 5.25 points to end at 186.60 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was down 1.21% or 1.80 points to 146.50.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 99 to 50 and 19 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for June delivery was down 2.28% or 1.81 to $77.43 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June fell 2.23% or 1.85 to hit $81.27 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract rose 0.40% or 8.00 to trade at $2,015.30 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.10% to 6.79, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.04% to 7.45.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.18% at 101.48.
