Denmark stocks lower at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 down 0.50%

Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.50%.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were GN Store Nord (CSE:GN), which rose 2.52% or 4.40 points to trade at 179.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) added 2.10% or 7.20 points to end at 349.70 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 1.98% or 3.82 points to 196.90 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Novozymes A/S B (CSE:NSISb), which fell 3.93% or 16.50 points to trade at 403.00 at the close. Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) declined 0.94% or 1.35 points to end at 142.80 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) was down 0.90% or 8.10 points to 893.90.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 77 to 64 and 17 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for May delivery was down 0.58% or 0.47 to $80.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.51% or 0.44 to hit $85.51 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.86% or 18.50 to trade at $2,179.50 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was up 0.58% to 6.87, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.61% at 103.68.
