
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Oil&Gas, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.06%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR), which rose 2.67% or 0.40 points to trade at 15.39 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) added 2.25% or 2.35 points to end at 106.75 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) was up 1.95% or 2.00 points to 104.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which fell 1.63% or 1.09 points to trade at 65.92 at the close. Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) declined 1.55% or 0.43 points to end at 26.97 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was down 0.73% or 0.27 points to 36.80.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which rose 7.73% to 13.94, Opmobility SE (EPA:OPM) which was up 3.96% to settle at 11.30 and Nexity (EPA:NEXI) which gained 3.93% to close at 12.97.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 18.31% to 1.37 in late trade, Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT) which lost 3.15% to settle at 107.50 and Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) which was down 3.02% to 31.83 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 330 to 210 and 72 ended unchanged.
Shares in Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) fell to all time lows; down 18.31% or 0.31 to 1.37.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.76% or 17.90 to $2,363.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 3.38% or 2.60 to hit $74.39 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 3.19% or 2.59 to trade at $78.52 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.43% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.50% at 104.11.
