
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.10%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Engie SA (EPA:ENGIE), which rose 3.63% or 0.51 points to trade at 14.52 at the close. Meanwhile, Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:SGOB) added 2.60% or 1.33 points to end at 52.42 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) was up 2.54% or 0.91 points to 36.67 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP), which fell 2.60% or 5.60 points to trade at 209.40 at the close. Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) declined 1.79% or 1.82 points to end at 100.00 and LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH) was down 0.70% or 6.10 points to 871.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which rose 9.36% to 7.71, Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was up 6.91% to settle at 12.54 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which gained 6.83% to close at 2.50.
The worst performers were Remy Cointreau (EPA:RCOP) which was down 11.83% to 156.85 in late trade, Television Francaise 1 SA (EPA:TFFP) which lost 7.12% to settle at 7.31 and SES Imagotag (EPA:SESL) which was down 3.33% to 145.00 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 322 to 223 and 86 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.08% or 1.55 to $2,000.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 2.17% or 1.62 to hit $76.38 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 2.31% or 1.81 to trade at $80.03 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP fell 0.58% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 101.30.
