
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Financials, Industrials and Oil&Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.52%, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.54%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which rose 4.72% or 2.63 points to trade at 58.37 at the close. Meanwhile, Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) added 3.38% or 0.87 points to end at 26.58 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STM) was up 2.63% or 1.00 points to 39.05 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY), which fell 0.88% or 0.80 points to trade at 89.93 at the close. Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP) declined 0.83% or 1.20 points to end at 143.64 and AXA SA (EPA:AXAF) was down 0.76% or 0.22 points to 28.04.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Faurecia (EPA:EPED) which rose 4.94% to 17.84, WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW) which was up 4.72% to settle at 58.37 and Gaztransport et Technigaz SA (EPA:GTT) which gained 4.09% to close at 103.10.
The worst performers were Ipsen SA (EPA:IPN) which was down 1.72% to 99.95 in late trade, Arkema SA (EPA:AKE) which lost 1.10% to settle at 91.34 and Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) which was down 0.94% to 49.57 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 332 to 210 and 85 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.14% or 2.65 to $1,925.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.60% or 0.49 to hit $82.13 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.98% or 0.86 to trade at $88.49 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.33% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 101.86.
