
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.69% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR), which rose 2.30% or 0.37 points to trade at 16.43 at the close. Meanwhile, Legrand SA (EPA:LEGD) added 2.18% or 2.14 points to end at 100.50 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) was up 2.16% or 0.43 points to 20.25 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Accor SA (EPA:ACCP), which fell 2.41% or 1.00 points to trade at 40.47 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) declined 0.64% or 0.64 points to end at 98.84 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) was down 0.59% or 0.34 points to 57.28.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which rose 3.85% to 0.46, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was up 3.76% to settle at 2.15 and Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which gained 3.37% to close at 2.70.
The worst performers were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) which was down 3.04% to 16.59 in late trade, Accor SA (EPA:ACCP) which lost 2.41% to settle at 40.47 and Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which was down 2.03% to 3.37 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 287 to 199 and 114 ended unchanged.
Shares in Legrand SA (EPA:LEGD) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 2.18% or 2.14 to 100.50.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 0.67% or 15.60 to $2,337.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.25% or 0.20 to hit $79.19 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.18% or 0.15 to trade at $83.73 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.25% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.14% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 105.22.
