Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Gas&Water and General Financial sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.90%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.88%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 4.02% or 8.40 points to trade at 217.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Renault SA (EPA:RENA) added 2.95% or 1.04 points to end at 36.49 and BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) was up 2.62% or 1.32 points to 51.79 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP), which fell 1.35% or 2.80 points to trade at 204.90 at the close. Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) declined 1.24% or 7.20 points to end at 573.30 and Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) was down 0.94% or 1.55 points to 164.15.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which rose 6.13% to 5.97, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which was up 4.02% to settle at 217.50 and Compagnie Plastic Omnium SE (EPA:PLOF) which gained 3.87% to close at 15.85.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 8.97% to 2.10 in late trade, Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which lost 5.91% to settle at 12.50 and Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) which was down 4.68% to 6.52 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 300 to 245 and 90 ended unchanged.
Shares in Korian Medica SA (EPA:KORI) fell to all time lows; losing 4.68% or 0.32 to 6.52.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 1.36% or 27.15 to $1,974.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 3.57% or 2.47 to hit $71.73 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract rose 3.14% or 2.34 to trade at $76.93 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.20% at 102.56.
