
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.91% to hit a new 1-month high, while the SBF 120 index gained 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW), which rose 3.01% or 1.60 points to trade at 54.72 at the close. Meanwhile, Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) added 2.47% or 1.78 points to end at 73.90 and Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:VIE) was up 2.11% or 0.58 points to 28.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO), which fell 1.63% or 0.21 points to trade at 12.37 at the close. Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) declined 0.25% or 0.04 points to end at 13.75 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) was down 0.22% or 0.04 points to 18.46.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Remy Cointreau (EPA:RCOP) which rose 4.59% to 112.75, Argan (EPA:ARGAN) which was up 4.25% to settle at 71.20 and Eiffage SA (EPA:FOUG) which gained 3.92% to close at 90.74.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 16.34% to 0.49 in late trade, Voltalia SA (EPA:VLTSA) which lost 7.16% to settle at 9.20 and Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was down 2.40% to 2.28 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 316 to 184 and 106 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.21% or 4.25 to $1,983.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 3.42% or 2.49 to hit $75.39 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 3.58% or 2.77 to trade at $80.19 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.27% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.88.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 103.97.
