
Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 1.11%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN), which rose 8.26% or 12.46 points to trade at 163.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) added 5.65% or 0.74 points to end at 13.74 and Legrand SA (EPA:LEGD) was up 3.11% or 2.56 points to 84.80 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR), which fell 1.93% or 2.52 points to trade at 127.86 at the close. ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) declined 1.67% or 0.36 points to end at 20.96 and Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) was down 1.02% or 0.18 points to 17.00.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which rose 48.38% to 1.45, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was up 14.82% to settle at 2.13 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) which gained 8.26% to close at 163.36.
The worst performers were Beneteau SA (EPA:CHBE) which was down 4.54% to 11.36 in late trade, Valeo SA (EPA:VLOF) which lost 4.25% to settle at 12.84 and Compagnie Plastic Omnium SE (EPA:PLOF) which was down 2.17% to 11.73 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 320 to 173 and 115 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.45% or 8.75 to $1,966.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.96% or 0.72 to hit $76.05 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 1.06% or 0.84 to trade at $80.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.01% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 105.38.
