
Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Industrials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.12%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Thales (EPA:TCFP), which rose 2.85% or 3.65 points to trade at 131.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) added 2.12% or 1.28 points to end at 61.70 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) was up 1.59% or 2.46 points to 157.60 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were WFD Unibail Rodamco NV (AS:URW), which fell 3.84% or 2.27 points to trade at 56.89 at the close. Renault SA (EPA:RENA) declined 2.70% or 1.14 points to end at 41.21 and BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) was down 2.13% or 1.36 points to 62.64.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:AM) which rose 12.21% to 179.20, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was up 4.10% to settle at 23.10 and Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which gained 2.90% to close at 2.66.
The worst performers were JC Decaux SA (EPA:JCDX) which was down 16.90% to 18.93 in late trade, Ovh Groupe SAS (EPA:OVH) which lost 12.54% to settle at 12.24 and SES Imagotag (EPA:SESL) which was down 8.06% to 107.20 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 306 to 220 and 107 ended unchanged.
Shares in Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 1.59% or 2.46 to 157.60. Shares in Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:AM) rose to all time highs; gaining 12.21% or 19.50 to 179.20.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.79% or 14.30 to $1,832.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.39% or 0.30 to hit $76.36 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.36% or 0.30 to trade at $82.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.89.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.35% at 105.26.
