
Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Gas&Water, General Financial and Foods&Drugs sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.18%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.16%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST), which rose 4.39% or 1.66 points to trade at 39.60 at the close. Meanwhile, BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) added 2.43% or 1.36 points to end at 57.31 and Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) was up 1.71% or 0.69 points to 41.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Bouygues SA (EPA:BOUY), which fell 1.42% or 0.44 points to trade at 30.54 at the close. Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) declined 1.30% or 1.32 points to end at 100.30 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was down 0.81% or 0.20 points to 24.63.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) which rose 4.39% to 39.60, BNP Paribas SA (EPA:BNPP) which was up 2.43% to settle at 57.31 and Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which gained 1.96% to close at 1.69.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 6.30% to 2.22 in late trade, Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which lost 3.81% to settle at 2.88 and Antin Infrastructure Partners SASU (EPA:ANTIN) which was down 3.77% to 14.29 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 299 to 234 and 86 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.25% or 4.95 to $1,976.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.63% or 0.45 to hit $72.14 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.66% or 0.50 to trade at $76.08 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.07% at 103.15.
