
Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 0.18%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST), which rose 2.72% or 1.21 points to trade at 45.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) added 1.59% or 1.36 points to end at 86.82 and Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) was up 0.90% or 0.85 points to 95.21 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO), which fell 3.54% or 0.42 points to trade at 11.44 at the close. Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) declined 2.87% or 3.90 points to end at 132.00 and Engie SA (EPA:ENGIE) was down 1.94% or 0.31 points to 15.76.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) which rose 2.72% to 45.76, Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) which was up 1.59% to settle at 86.82 and Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which gained 1.58% to close at 13.20.
The worst performers were Nexity (EPA:NEXI) which was down 7.48% to 15.09 in late trade, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which lost 7.26% to settle at 20.82 and Forvia (EPA:FRVIA) which was down 4.52% to 18.49 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 324 to 196 and 84 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was down 0.77% or 15.80 to $2,035.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.05% or 0.04 to hit $72.83 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 0.50% or 0.39 to trade at $78.54 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.69% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.88% at 103.06.
