
Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Technology, Utilities and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.19% to hit a new 1-month low, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which rose 3.74% or 1.53 points to trade at 42.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) added 1.78% or 5.00 points to end at 286.10 and Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:SGOB) was up 1.76% or 0.71 points to 41.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which fell 3.62% or 1.97 points to trade at 52.43 at the close. Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) declined 2.69% or 0.46 points to end at 16.46 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) was down 1.73% or 0.42 points to 23.79.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which rose 3.74% to 42.46, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was up 2.73% to settle at 45.54 and Verallia (EPA:VRLA) which gained 2.62% to close at 23.54.
The worst performers were Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which was down 5.70% to 87.70 in late trade, CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which lost 5.03% to settle at 0.94 and Biomerieux SA (EPA:BIOX) which was down 4.61% to 96.68 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 274 to 260 and 92 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.79% or 13.85 to $1,735.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 5.62% or 5.45 to hit $91.56 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 5.17% or 5.32 to trade at $97.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.30% to 1.00, while EUR/GBP rose 0.82% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 108.73.
