
Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Oil&Gas, Healthcare and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.26%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR), which rose 1.73% or 0.28 points to trade at 16.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR) added 1.38% or 0.22 points to end at 15.84 and Compagnie Generale des Etablissements Michelin SCA (EPA:MICP) was up 1.17% or 0.43 points to 37.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 2.78% or 3.05 points to trade at 106.60 at the close. Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) declined 2.70% or 9.20 points to end at 332.05 and Legrand SA (EPA:LEGD) was down 2.32% or 2.40 points to 101.10.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which rose 10.02% to 3.60, Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was up 5.45% to settle at 21.29 and Sodexo SA (EPA:EXHO) which gained 3.19% to close at 85.80.
The worst performers were SCOR SE (EPA:SCOR) which was down 6.09% to 30.22 in late trade, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which lost 4.33% to settle at 2.16 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which was down 4.33% to 196.80 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 257 to 236 and 109 ended unchanged.
Shares in Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR) rose to 5-year highs; up 1.38% or 0.22 to 15.84.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was up 1.27% or 30.35 to $2,415.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.47% or 0.37 to hit $79.60 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.42% or 0.35 to trade at $83.62 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.07% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.23% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.00% at 104.34.
