
Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.38%, while the SBF 120 index lost 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 3.71% or 4.45 points to trade at 124.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) added 2.52% or 4.25 points to end at 173.00 and Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) was up 1.17% or 0.20 points to 17.27 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN), which fell 4.29% or 2.18 points to trade at 48.62 at the close. Renault SA (EPA:RENA) declined 3.13% or 1.09 points to end at 33.55 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) was down 2.27% or 1.42 points to 61.24.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which rose 3.71% to 124.30, CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which was up 3.54% to settle at 0.68 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which gained 2.91% to close at 6.58.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was down 6.09% to 0.94 in late trade, Klepierre SA (EPA:LOIM) which lost 5.65% to settle at 22.53 and Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which was down 5.39% to 1.76 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 284 to 221 and 105 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.92% or 18.25 to $1,970.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 3.63% or 2.93 to hit $77.89 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 3.56% or 3.03 to trade at $82.15 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.13% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.43% at 105.50.
