
Investing.com – France stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil&Gas, Industrials and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.63%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT), which rose 2.92% or 0.69 points to trade at 24.34 at the close. Meanwhile, Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) added 1.35% or 4.55 points to end at 341.25 and Thales (EPA:TCFP) was up 0.94% or 1.55 points to 167.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Safran SA (EPA:SAF), which fell 1.84% or 3.90 points to trade at 207.80 at the close. Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) declined 1.59% or 3.75 points to end at 232.85 and TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) was down 1.50% or 1.01 points to 66.46.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) which rose 22.79% to 3.75, Derichebourg (EPA:DBG) which was up 9.23% to settle at 4.95 and Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which gained 4.97% to close at 4.27.
The worst performers were Ubisoft Entertainment (EPA:UBIP) which was down 13.46% to 20.19 in late trade, Eurazeo (EPA:EURA) which lost 5.76% to settle at 79.30 and Sartorius Stedim Biotech SA (EPA:STDM) which was down 4.33% to 205.70 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 267 to 233 and 105 ended unchanged.
Shares in Elior Group (EPA:ELIOR) rose to 52-week highs; up 22.79% or 0.70 to 3.75.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.42% or 10.10 to $2,384.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.88% or 0.69 to hit $79.32 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 0.62% or 0.51 to trade at $83.26 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.10% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 104.35.
