
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil&Gas, Industrials and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 rose 0.02%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE (EPA:LVMH), which rose 1.14% or 8.10 points to trade at 720.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) added 1.02% or 1.04 points to end at 102.86 and Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) was up 1.01% or 0.16 points to 16.06 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO), which fell 37.58% or 8.07 points to trade at 13.40 at the close. Renault SA (EPA:RENA) declined 1.53% or 0.55 points to end at 35.07 and Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) was down 1.32% or 0.70 points to 52.14.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Air France KLM SA (EPA:AIRF) which rose 3.75% to 12.12, JC Decaux SA (EPA:JCDX) which was up 2.50% to settle at 15.59 and Nexans SA (EPA:NEXS) which gained 2.07% to close at 74.05.
The worst performers were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) which was down 37.58% to 13.40 in late trade, Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which lost 10.89% to settle at 1.48 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 10.77% to 5.27 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 292 to 215 and 98 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.16% or 2.95 to $1,831.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.67% or 1.41 to hit $82.81 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.69% or 1.45 to trade at $84.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 106.19.
