
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Industrials, Consumer Goods and Oil&Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 gained 0.05%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN), which rose 2.65% or 1.44 points to trade at 55.76 at the close. Meanwhile, Renault SA (EPA:RENA) added 2.62% or 0.91 points to end at 35.50 and Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) was up 2.29% or 0.48 points to 21.24 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST), which fell 2.57% or 1.11 points to trade at 42.13 at the close. Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) declined 2.19% or 1.96 points to end at 87.57 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:EUFI) was down 1.40% or 0.76 points to 53.40.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which rose 3.16% to 3.59, Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which was up 3.10% to settle at 14.15 and Edenred SA (EPA:EDEN) which gained 2.65% to close at 55.76.
The worst performers were Lectra SA (EPA:LECS) which was down 5.81% to 30.80 in late trade, Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which lost 3.30% to settle at 5.80 and Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) which was down 2.57% to 42.13 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 277 to 228 and 105 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.84% or 17.30 to $2,053.80 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.19% or 1.62 to hit $72.20 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract fell 1.87% or 1.47 to trade at $77.23 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.78% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.16% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.94% at 103.83.
