
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Technology, Healthcare and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil&Gas, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 0.71%, while the SBF 120 index declined 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Kering SA (EPA:PRTP), which rose 4.91% or 19.15 points to trade at 409.40 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) added 4.88% or 1.23 points to end at 26.42 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) was up 4.75% or 3.18 points to 70.08 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR), which fell 5.21% or 0.68 points to trade at 12.34 at the close. Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) declined 1.83% or 1.60 points to end at 85.79 and Air Liquide SA (EPA:AIRP) was down 1.78% or 3.04 points to 167.48.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Soitec SA (EPA:SOIT) which rose 5.61% to 137.35, Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) which was up 4.91% to settle at 409.40 and ArcelorMittal SA (AS:MT) which gained 4.88% to close at 26.42.
The worst performers were Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) which was unchanged 5.67% to 0.01 in late trade, Credit Agricole SA (EPA:CAGR) which lost 5.21% to settle at 12.34 and Neoen SA (EPA:NEOEN) which was down 2.85% to 24.56 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 272 to 243 and 90 ended unchanged.
Shares in Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) rose to 52-week highs; rising 4.75% or 3.18 to 70.08. Shares in Orpea SA (EPA:ORP) unchanged to all time lows; unchanged 5.67% or 0.00 to 0.01.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.26% or 5.25 to $2,046.45 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.79% or 2.06 to hit $75.92 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 2.69% or 2.13 to trade at $81.34 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.03% to 1.08, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 104.03.
