
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Technology and Industrials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil&Gas, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 added 1.05%, while the SBF 120 index fell 0.05%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which rose 4.85% or 6.45 points to trade at 139.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Capgemini SE (EPA:CAPP) added 3.89% or 7.20 points to end at 192.25 and Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) was up 3.70% or 5.32 points to 149.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Renault SA (EPA:RENA), which fell 2.90% or 1.03 points to trade at 34.51 at the close. Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:PERP) declined 1.92% or 2.90 points to end at 147.80 and Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) was down 1.20% or 4.45 points to 366.70.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Nexans SA (EPA:NEXS) which rose 5.66% to 84.00, Lectra SA (EPA:LECS) which was up 5.63% to settle at 30.95 and Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) which gained 4.85% to close at 139.55.
The worst performers were Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 14.67% to 4.86 in late trade, Worldline SA (EPA:WLN) which lost 3.47% to settle at 13.63 and Valeo SA (EPA:VLOF) which was down 3.18% to 12.78 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 279 to 217 and 111 ended unchanged.
Shares in Airbus Group SE (EPA:AIR) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.70% or 5.32 to 149.20. Shares in Kering SA (EPA:PRTP) fell to 3-years lows; losing 1.20% or 4.45 to 366.70.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.59% or 32.15 to $2,051.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 1.07% or 0.77 to hit $72.79 a barrel, while the March Brent oil contract rose 1.16% or 0.90 to trade at $78.31 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.14% to 1.10, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.03% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.15% at 102.17.
