
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher while losses in the Electronic Equipment, Aerospace&Defense and Oil&Gas Producers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 0.16%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.68%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Worldline SA (EPA:WLN), which rose 6.00% or 0.78 points to trade at 13.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) added 5.72% or 6.70 points to end at 123.75 and Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO) was up 5.19% or 0.69 points to 13.90 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF), which fell 3.50% or 2.26 points to trade at 62.33 at the close. Sanofi SA (EPA:SASY) declined 2.12% or 1.85 points to end at 85.35 and Thales (EPA:TCFP) was down 1.71% or 2.35 points to 135.10.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which rose 7.67% to 4.58, Compagnie Plastic Omnium SE (EPA:PLOF) which was up 6.96% to settle at 11.99 and Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which gained 6.58% to close at 3.92.
The worst performers were TotalEnergies SE (EPA:TTEF) which was down 3.50% to 62.33 in late trade, Accor SA (EPA:ACCP) which lost 3.26% to settle at 29.70 and Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) which was down 3.13% to 98.08 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 342 to 175 and 88 ended unchanged.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.35% or 7.05 to $2,000.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.55% or 2.10 to hit $80.36 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.35% or 2.04 to trade at $84.81 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.10% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.41% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.04% at 104.87.
