
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil&Gas, Consumer Goods and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 lost 0.30%, while the SBF 120 index added 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Thales (EPA:TCFP), which rose 9.07% or 12.55 points to trade at 150.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Engie SA (EPA:ENGIE) added 2.15% or 0.32 points to end at 14.99 and Carrefour SA (EPA:CARR) was up 1.81% or 0.28 points to 15.71 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Alstom SA (EPA:ALSO), which fell 3.56% or 0.43 points to trade at 11.64 at the close. Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST) declined 3.21% or 1.38 points to end at 41.58 and Schneider Electric SE (EPA:SCHN) was down 2.10% or 4.45 points to 207.95.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Thales (EPA:TCFP) which rose 9.07% to 150.90, Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:AM) which was up 3.20% to settle at 193.40 and Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which gained 2.17% to close at 13.88.
The worst performers were Euroapi SAS (EPA:EAPI) which was down 8.81% to 3.46 in late trade, Clariane SE (EPA:CLARI) which lost 8.47% to settle at 1.62 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 7.34% to 2.08 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 307 to 207 and 96 ended unchanged.

The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for April delivery was up 0.50% or 10.55 to $2,136.85 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.42% or 0.33 to hit $78.41 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract fell 0.53% or 0.44 to trade at $82.36 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.04% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 103.72.
