
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Healthcare sectors led shares higher while losses in the Oil&Gas, Consumer Goods and Electronic Equipment sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 declined 1.10%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 0.11%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:DAST), which fell 0.27% or 0.10 points to trade at 36.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) fell 0.43% or 0.11 points to end at 25.50 and Publicis Groupe SA (EPA:PUBP) was down 0.52% or 0.38 points to 72.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 2.37% or 2.85 points to trade at 117.50 at the close. Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) declined 2.05% or 0.35 points to end at 16.55 and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield SE (EPA:URW) was down 1.98% or 0.99 points to 49.03.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:CASP) which rose 7.07% to 2.82, CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which was up 2.61% to settle at 0.80 and Vallourec (EPA:VLLP) which gained 1.90% to close at 12.09.
The worst performers were Eramet SA (EPA:ERMT) which was down 3.23% to 73.35 in late trade, ICADE (EPA:ICAD) which lost 3.21% to settle at 33.72 and Eutelsat Communications SA (EPA:ETL) which was down 2.41% to 5.87 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 294 to 186 and 118 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.37% or 2.85 to 117.50. Shares in ICADE (EPA:ICAD) fell to 5-year lows; falling 3.21% or 1.12 to 33.72.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.46% or 8.85 to $1,935.15 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 2.16% or 1.78 to hit $80.73 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.86% or 1.60 to trade at $84.61 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.13% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.20% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 102.98.
