
Investing.com – France stocks were mixed after the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Financials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher while losses in the Electronic Equipment, Aerospace&Defense and Oil&Gas Producers sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Paris, the CAC 40 fell 1.26%, while the SBF 120 index climbed 1.46%.
The best performers of the session on the CAC 40 were Orange SA (EPA:ORAN), which rose 0.29% or 0.03 points to trade at 10.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:SGOB) added 0.18% or 0.11 points to end at 61.00 and Societe Generale SA (EPA:SOGN) was down 0.18% or 0.05 points to 25.54 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF), which fell 4.16% or 5.20 points to trade at 119.95 at the close. Stellantis NV (EPA:STLAM) declined 3.39% or 0.59 points to end at 16.85 and STMicroelectronics NV (EPA:STMPA) was down 3.00% or 1.34 points to 43.16.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were CGG SA (EPA:GEPH) which rose 4.60% to 0.74, Solutions 30 SE (EPA:S30) which was up 1.23% to settle at 2.80 and Rubis SCA (EPA:RUBF) which gained 0.37% to close at 21.88.
The worst performers were Dassault Aviation SA (EPA:AM) which was down 4.99% to 171.40 in late trade, Forvia (EPA:FRVIA) which lost 4.38% to settle at 20.53 and Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) which was down 4.29% to 7.06 at the close.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 328 to 179 and 111 ended unchanged.
Shares in Teleperformance SE (EPA:TEPRF) fell to 5-year lows; losing 4.16% or 5.20 to 119.95. Shares in Atos SE (EPA:ATOS) fell to 5-year lows; down 4.29% or 0.32 to 7.06.
The CAC 40 VIX, which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.12% or 2.35 to $1,946.55 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.99% or 0.82 to hit $83.64 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.94% or 0.81 to trade at $87.21 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.29% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.43% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.34% at 102.72.
