
Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Retail, Financial Services and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the DAX gained 0.30%, while the MDAX index added 1.65%, and the TecDAX index added 1.43%.
The best performers of the session on the DAX were Siemens Energy AG (ETR:ENR1n), which rose 8.70% or 0.76 points to trade at 9.55 at the close. Meanwhile, Zalando SE (ETR:ZALG) added 7.86% or 1.64 points to end at 22.50 and Vonovia SE (ETR:VNAn) was up 7.78% or 1.77 points to 24.51 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hannover Rueck SE (ETR:HNRGn), which fell 2.18% or 4.60 points to trade at 206.60 at the close. Munich Reinsurance (ETR:MUVGn) declined 2.06% or 7.90 points to end at 375.00 and Fresenius SE&Co KGAA O.N. (ETR:FREG) was down 1.59% or 0.41 points to 25.31.
The top performers on the MDAX were Deutsche Lufthansa AG (ETR:LHAG) which rose 7.05% to 7.53, Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) which was up 4.74% to settle at 11.71 and Delivery Hero AG (ETR:DHER) which gained 4.50% to close at 27.50.
The worst performers were Redcare Pharmacy NV (ETR:RDC) which was down 3.54% to 107.60 in late trade, Talanx AG NA O.N. (ETR:TLXGn) which lost 1.81% to settle at 59.65 and TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 1.49% to 14.19 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were ADTRAN Holdingsa Inc (ETR:QH9) which rose 5.05% to 6.83, Nagarro SE (ETR:NA9n) which was up 4.50% to settle at 76.60 and Jenoptik AG (ETR:JENGn) which gained 3.94% to close at 23.72.
The worst performers were TeamViewer AG (ETR:TMV) which was down 1.49% to 14.19 in late trade, Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:NEKG) which lost 0.81% to settle at 68.78 and SAP SE (ETR:SAPG) which was down 0.65% to 129.28 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 437 to 181 and 28 ended unchanged.
Shares in Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:TEGG) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 4.74% or 0.53 to 11.71.
The DAX volatility index, which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 5.17% to 16.32 a new 1-month low.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.36% or 7.25 to $2,000.75 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.58% or 2.13 to hit $80.33 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 2.42% or 2.10 to trade at $84.75 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 1.09% to 1.07, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.37% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.04% at 104.88.
